Made of star stuff,
formed in the giant stars of the past,
as is our earth,
as are we,
do lichen dream of the stars,
beneath the same night skies
that we dream of?

With New Eyes

What I have seen a thousand times.
Oh, to see as a child again!
Without all the labels and names.

Looking ahead on the path,
I look for the end,
I look for our goal,
I look for triumph.
We're not there yet.

I look for the end of killing,

I look for the end of hatred.
We're not there yet.

I look for peace,
I look for hope,
I look for benevolence,
We're not there yet.

I look for faith,
I look for good,
I look for truth,
I look for God.

Are we getting closer?
Are we going the right way?
Are we getting there?
All I know is that
